‘True Blood’ Breakout

I’ve been waiting to see which of the True Blood stars was going to be the next to headline a feature. Anna Paquin’s been dabbling in a few here and there, Stephen Moyer did Priest and has a couple in the works. Alexander Skarsgård seemed to be the breakout with his lead in the Battleship movie, but now Rutina Wesley is kicking some butt, landing her first leading role in a feature.
Left to Tell is a horrific true tale of Immaculee Ilibagiza, and based on her best-selling memoir. The story recounts time during the Rwandan genocide, a serious and brutal account from what I hear. Some serious acting shops would be needed and I’m not surprise that Rutina will be headlining. She’s dope and is by far one of the best characters on the show.
Speaking of the show, I’ve been catching up on Season 3 to get prepped for Season 4, shit was crazy last year. That show is beyond the point now of “pushing the envelope” – they’re pushing everything. Why in God’s name is the show so addicting, it’s like I can’t not watch… I need to know what happens and I always want more.
Moving on, which of the stars would you like to see hit the big screen next? I’m going with Ashley Jones, she’ll always be my favorite.(wink, wink)
