I just would like to take a second of attention off of the terrible Massacre in Aurora, CO for a moment. And, my reason being that POS who caused this is having his “trial” today and I don’t want to give him ANY attention. I care about the victims and hope he gets what he deserves.
It’s a shame that people were literally fearing for their lives to go to the theaters this weekend. I will admit that my eyes would glance at the EXIT door every so often, because even I was afraid. And that sucks. Flat out. But, I did it and I watched what became one of my favorite films of the year unfold in front of me. It’s amazing, I don’t know what else to say.
If you didn’t get the chance to check it out this weekend, do yourself a favor and do so. It’s an absolutely wonderful film and the perfect ending to the trilogy. I was surprised that they were actually able to pull of such an amazing feature. We all know it’s very tough to tell a story in 3′s without it feeling flat. This, does not. No, it’s not as good as The Dark Knight, and I believe that only because it missed all of the morality portions of that film, but it is still well written and well acted and just a joy to see on a big screen.
My heart goes out to those victims of last week, I’m so terribly sorry that these fans of the films did not get to see the end. I know they’re up there with a big tub of popcorn watching it with the big guy. But, someone who is so excited for it to go to a midnight screening, is a huge fan. And for that to be taken from them just doesn’t sit right with me. I ask you to not give this man the fame he craves, don’t give him the benefit of it all. Let’s try to remember the people who truly were fans, heroes and now angels
