Fall TV Thoughts…

Now that my future ex-wife (Sarah Michelle Gellar) will no longer be gracing me with her presence weekly on TV (Oh, BTW F U CW!) – It’s on to hear what’s coming to TV next year so I can pick something just to get disappointed AGAIN when it gets canceled. Hm… now who should I pick? Let’s see…
CBS’ schedule looks lame, considering they passed on the pilot I was most excited about – Oh F**K, It’s You, which I was lucky enough to watch being taped. The only thing that might look slightly interesting is the Sherlock Holmes modern-day tale, Elementary. I am a fan of Jonny Lee Miler’s, even though he was not used very much in Dark Shadows, which he should have been. The show sounds complex and creative and who doesn’t love complex and creative?
I’m a huge fan of New Girl, as I’m sure you know. So, what about their pair up with the new show Ben & Kate (formerly Ben Fox is my Manny) – I’m actually not super excited about it. The script was OK and I don’t know what I feel about Nat Faxon. I feel like there is an age difference between the two that will annoy me. And the fact that she’s so much younger than him and he’s playing the immature sibling gets to my bones.
Alas, I do have the give a HUGE shout out to Fox for the new Kevin Williamson/Kevin Bacon pilot The Following, which was a DOPE script and I cannot wait to see how that translates on screen. And, although I’m mad at the CW for taking my Sarah Michelle away, I am happy that you’re bringing back another baby of mine – Katie Cassidy starring in Arrow. So, while disappointed, there are some silver linings…
